 The food drive for the Wakefield Food Pantry has been extended until today.  If you have any donations, please make sure they get to the fieldhouse before the end of the day today.
Want your artwork to be displayed on the 2017/2018 Agenda Books?  Enter your artwork reflecting your student experience at WHS by February 15th electronically to Mrs. Brazile. Winner will be announced by the end of February and for more information, contact any of the class of 2019 officers or Mrs. Brazile.
The boys and girls track teams will having a meeting today after school today in the fieldhouse to elect captains and return uniforms.
The High School Democrats will be hosting a meeting with State Representative Paul Brodeur over pizza!  Join us this Thursday at 6:30 in the cafeteria and contact Talat Atman, Amanda Westlake or Meave Conway with any questions.
Our school is joining the fight against blood cancers and helping The Leukemia & Lymphoma society fund research and care for patients.  You can donate between January 30th and February 17th.  There are bins to donate in homeroom, at lunch in the cafeteria, the main office and guidance.  You can also donate online at the website emailed out to everyone.  Thank you for your help.

 The Boys and Girls Cross Country/Track and field teams are hosting a winter food drive to support the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry.  Starting today there will be boxes outside the cafeteria as well as the Athletic Office.
All students in the Junior Class: Job shadow applications are due in the guidance office byFebruary 10th.  See Mr. Robertson for details.
Attention TSF Directors: The 25th annual Trivia Night will be Saturday, February 11th at the Civic Center.  Volunteers are needed to help make this night a success.  If you can volunteer, please  notify Emily Attaya, Brigid Scanlon, Julia Derocher or Theresa Fallon.  Also, there is a TSF Director’s meeting Tuesday in room 1228 at 7:00 a.m.
Best Buddies will be holding a Valentine’s Day Dance on Saturday, February 11th at 7 p.m.  They will be selling tickets in the cafeteria all week during both lunches.  The ticket costs $5.00 and all are welcome.

Com support our Wakefield High School A Cappella groups She Major & Voices of Steel as they compete in the Varsity Vocals Quarterfinal at Galvin Middle School this Saturday night at 7:00 pm!  Tickets are available online or at the door! Hope to see you there!
Boys tennis sign-ups will be February 13th after school in the Field House.
The girls track meeting scheduled for Thursday has been moved to Friday.  Please try to attend as there will be captain elections.

  Attention Skiers and Boarders:  Permission slips are now available for the next trip to Mt. Sunapee on Sunday, February 12th.  Beginner packages available.  The deadline is Wednesday, February 8th.  See Mr. Brennan if you are interested.

Attention Freshmen:  Your official Class of 2020 sweatshirts are now available!  All orders are due to Mrs. Hagerty or Mr. Robinson by Thursday, February 9th.  Order forms will be available in homerooms.  If you have any questions, please see any class officer or advisor.

 The next meeting for the trip to Spain is Wednesday, January 11th immediately after early dismissal.  Please have your roommate choices ready.  Attendance is mandatory.  Please contact Ms. Reed or Ms. Bardet with any questions.

 Any senior interested in playing in the Senior vs. Faculty basketball game, can pick up a sign-up sheet outside Mr. Moody’s room, 3012.  Forms are due to Mr. Moody by Friday January 13th.

 There is a National Honor Society meeting today for all member in the Science Lecture Hall at 2:15 today.

 Attention Seniors:  There will be a meeting Thursday after school in room 2229 for all those interested in arranging, choreographing, or directing the musical numbers for the senior show.  Hope to see you there.

 On Friday, January 27th, join the class of 2019 in the school’s first ever lip synch battle!  Teams can be made up of up to four students and/or teachers!  All classes are welcome to join and participate.  Admission is $2.00 per person for teams and audience members!  Sign-ups can be found in your gmails, by contacting any of the class of 2019 officers or see Mrs. Brazile for more details.

 Attention DC Close-Up participants: There is a mandatory meeting this Wednesday, January 11th at 11:00 in room 3005.  See you there!  Rock on DC Babies!  Happy 2017.

 The Mindfulness Group will be meeting today after school in room 1401.
 Rock on Recycling Warriors.  We meet today to “Save our planet one Tuesday at a time”! Teacher please put out both bins.  Thank you – Rock on!
